This complex emerged from a competition of the cooperative „Baufreunde Zurich“. It is situated at the intersection between two main roads. The architecture is designed to stand out from the prevailing small-scale appearance and shapes of the surrounds. With two clear, compact volumes, a new housing complex is created, taking into account the existing building structures around. In between is a large quiet green space, where the living rooms and loggias of the elongated body are located. The seven storey building forms, together with other free-standing buildings, an urban unit. It concludes the road space and sets a landmark.
Inside the buildings there are a variety of small to large garden-, attic-, maisonette, split-level- and basement-apartments and lofts.
